De Ciccos Celebrates 75 Years
In 1933 after prohibition,
James DeCicco converted what was
a Family Owned Grocery Store
called Troisi's to a Tavern.
Initially it was called The Anderson Tavern.
Their family's home was in the back of the tavern.
When they first opened in 1933,
beers were just 10 cents a glass.
The most popular Beers were
Ballantine and Schaefer
James operated the Tavern
until his death in 1957.

Being a bartender is like being
a psychiatrist and a priest,
as you hear everyone's problems.
It is not enough to just serve drinks,
you need to listen to people.
